Welcome to my English class and our new academic year. My name is Ms. Hoda Ibrahim and this is my fifth year here at ACC. I have taught most of you
before so you already know me but for the new comers, I would like to say
welcome to your second home. I love teaching so much and I believe that learning
is an ongoing process and so I know that we will both learn from each
other everyday. I want you all to be sure that during my classes we will learn do
a lot of activities and have fun.
This year, my primary objective is improving your writing techniques and critical reading skills. We will read a lot of literature and answer a lot of comprehensions. I am looking forward each student becoming an active learner, seeking information and taking responsibility for his/her education. A student centered approach will be used for the coming year. Additionally, the entire school will be following a quarterly theme that will be applied to every subject and selection. This year each student will keep a personal blog that will not only serve as a digital portfolio but also as a tool for practical contemporary expression. I will also be keeping a blog to which I will be posting assignments, news, and announcements. Students and parents are required to check the blog daily in order to stay up to date on class activities and assignments.
